Join us for the 7th installment of our solo performance series, Solo Homo, at our new home: Strawdog Theatre Company's Hugen Hall Cabaret located at 3829 N. Broadway, Chicago.
Audience Information:
· Solo Homo premiered in April 2003 in Bailiwick Art Center's Loft space. It was produced by Mike Rogers and Timothy Rey. Over the years, it has moved downstairs to Bailiwick's Studio Theatre, onward to Live Bait and Chemically Imbalanced, and now finally to its now home at Strawdog. The series, along with its performance sibling, Working Stiffs, has presented a number of storytellers, monologists, & humorists, singers & musicians, dancers, performance artists, and more.
· This year's installment focuses on the performance of the written word and includes several NTW regulars: Cookie Crumbles, Timothy Rey, Mike Rogers, Josef Steiff, and Michael Van Kerckhove. Byron Flitsch also returns, and we welcome new faces Sara Kerastas, Deb Lewis, and Lisa Scott.
· Much of the material in the show is intended for mature audiences.
· Tickets can be purchased at the door. To purchase tickets online, and for directions and other information about the space, visit strawdogtheatre.com. Please, no phone calls to the Strawdog Theatre box office.
· Be a part of the theatre process: Monday evening's "Preview" performance will celebrate our housewarming at Strawdog. We may (or may not) have to stop and work out a technical kink here and there. The stories, performers, and heart will be a hundred percent. Monday also offers a discount for fans, friends, newcomers and anyone and everyone keeping an eye on their cash flow.
· Cheers! Cash bar service will be provided by the Strawdog staff before and after the show, as well as at intermission.
· Enjoy the show and stay tuned for information on our Fall 2009 production….
