The Love Poetry Issue

Edited by Don Bapst

At Swell, we currently receive more poetry than fiction,
non-fiction, drama, and other writing combined.  This issue of Swell groups some of the best of the poetry submissions we've read over the last year or so.  And though the selected pieces cover a diverse range of subjects, styles, and themes, they each put an unexpected twist on the timeless search for true love--a quest that beats at the heart of so many creative endeavors.  What exactly is love...and what exactly constitutes a love poem?  The work in our current issue pushes these questions to their limits and offers some exciting surprises in the process.
